Ty Hines

Ty Hines grew up right here in San Diego and graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University. He has a degree in broadcast journalism and previously lived in Barcelona, Spain, where he studied international journalism. 

 

Ty Hines has worked across several television shows and with several well known personalities throughout his career. He previously co-hosted the U-T San Diego's television prep sports show 'U-T Prep Insider.' He was also a political reporter for 'The Roger Hedgecock Show' and a personality in San Diego's first late night show 'Kaplan at Night,' staring Mighty1090 Host Scott Kaplan.

 

Outside of his co-hosting and reporting duties Ty has produced 10 different television shows ranging from news and sports to lifestyle and entertainment. 

In his broadcasting career he's worked with the likes of Scott Kaplan & Billy Ray Smith (hosts' of the Scott & BR Radio Show), Darren Smith (The Darren Smith Show), Coach John Canterra (The Mighty 1090),  Chris Canore (radio host 94.9FM), Roger Hedgecock (The Roger Hedgecock Television Show), Jocelyn Rivera-Pierce (televison personality and wife of former NFL star Antonio Pierce), Lisa Lane (sports reporter), Bill Griffith (Ch.10 News Anchor), Craig Sewing (The American Dream, Ch4 San Diego), Kristina Le (Fox 5 reporter), Amber Mesker (Night & Day TV Host) and many others.
